Being October and the month my daughter was born this months photo is a shot of her favorite bird.
California Condor
Near extinction only a decade ago these birds are now doing well in the wild with somewhat limited numbers. We have traveled to the Grand Canyon and saw them Pinnacles National Monument and saw them and Big Sur California. But the best place we have found to see them is Navajo Bridge in Vermillion Cliffs National Monument in Arizona. That is where this shot was taken. I have never seen someone so excited as Sierra was this day to have Condors fly just overhead. We even visited the original release site .
